Actually, yes. IPv6 is stretched to its limits and we definitely need a solution, but in many ways, IPv6 was one of the worst considered.
Sometimes completely throwing out backward compatibility is a good thing, but only when the new system is so superior that it's obviously worth it, which IPv6 isn't.
