Csound/fortran/FMOD.maths.

I was just reading the 'F77/C++' thread and it got me thinking, is fortran better at calculations than say, Csound? i am going to be doing a sound synthesis program soon and wondered if i should get both involved for efficincy..?

Csound is made for doing technical precision sums

and so is FORTRAN
