You guys are all idiots.  Flash is the best evolution to happen to the web since HTML.  It runs on my phone, mac, linux box, and more.

Without flash we wouldn't have 99% of web innovations today, such as welcome pages.  You'd be lost jumping right into so much text- flash provides a necessary video-intro to appease the masses.
