Some representatives of Muslim countries have complained that the 2012 Olympic Games will take place during the month of Ramadan, which in 2012 occurs from 20 July to 19 August. During Ramadan, Muslims are to fast from sunrise to sunset, which may put Muslim athletes at a disadvantage during the Games. Some Muslims have called for the Olympics to be rescheduled outside this period.

There's no such thing as being religiously neutral if you are religious (or militantly atheist), and a headscarf harms no-one. If you can't deal with people who are openly religious, that's your problem.

The only people who are actually "scared" of the burqa are the same nutjobs who think that all muslims are terrorists.

This one is so easy to resolve it's laughable, if a room is not in use, use it. That's the policy of my University, provided you stick within some rules and certain labs require a swipe card.

While I disagree with the censorship, it's not like the UKs religious laws are enlightened wrt free speech. >99% of "equality" laws are bullshit and the press are only too happy to comply.

Most places provide vegetarian options, if that isn't good enough they can eat elsewhere.
