My wheels are spinning, like my fan

Hello /prague/

Since my last dist-upgrade my laptop fan is spinning over and over, and I'm a bit pissed of. How do I shut it down?

inb4: Windows has viruses just because is used more than linux.
They both have malware. Windows has more for obvious reasons(large userbase). Also, coding low-level crap like that is usually more fun in Windows than is on *nixes since you retain binary compatibility between platforms and kernel versions. Linux malware tends to be often distributed in source form since binary compatibility cannot always be guaranteed (unless you want huge statically linked binaries).
also inb4: Windows is good.
It's a platform like any other. It has its strengths and weaknesses.
