Something like a FPS made with RPG design elements. This genre is nearly unexplored.

There will be no classes or restrictions on skills(skills are only limited by cast time).
Every player has in his possession a spellbook with selected spells hotkeyed or can attack with bow/swords.
You can create maps like:
1.FFA kill all players.
2.Kill monsters.
3. Capture the flag.
4.RPG-like maps.
5.labyrinths and traps.
etc, with many other variants with scripted events/scenery/monsters as good as fantasy of map creator.
It would combine the best from FPSs and RPG world.
The character would be customized visually only, and real difference is in the skillful play.
