/prog/ - Batch transcoding script

I've never written a script, but I need a batch transcoder script to execute

- mencoder input.vob -ovc x264 -x264encopts pass=2:bitrate=700:nocabac:subq=6:trellis=1 -vf pp=ci,scale=-10:272 -af volnorm=1 -oac mp3lame -lameopts cbr:br=192 -o ouput.mp4
- mencoder input.vob -ovc x264 -x264encopts pass=2:bitrate=700:nocabac:subq=6:trellis=1 -vf pp=ci,scale=-10:272 -af volnorm=1 -oac mp3lame -lameopts cbr:br=192 -o ouput.mp4

for a bunch of files. The .vob can also be an mkv.

OS= lunix, sh/bash/perl/python is all fine.

These settings are absolutely terrible as >>5 pointed; it's obvious you don't know what are you doing (even if you are targeting a shitty device, which I hope you are because otherwise you do deserve to be shot).

In any case, how difficult is to Google your question? Heck, I know how to do it with the command.com that shipped with Microsoft Windows 95.

Also, I hope you're not processing a DVD by using that in each VOB independently. That'd be like... OK, now I realize IHBT

If not, just buy some shitty GPL-violating one-click converter.
