A friend of mine played DMC3 on a laptop keyboard to completion. No problems.
I personally played MGS1 and 2 on a keyboard. No problems either.
I also played Conker's Bad Fur Day emulated with a keyboard controller. Once in the entire game I had to change the emulated sensitivity of the analog stick, since there was some sort of puzzle that required slow movements.
