Distro for real men

Suppose you are a good programmer (as I guess everyone in this board should be). What unix system (lunix distro or *bsd) would you use in order to satisfy your needs and proclaim a real Hacker of the Code?

If you forget your pride and want a system that just works with no look-at-me-my-xterm-doesnt-work-because-it-was-not-configured-I-am-so-hardcore elitism, use Ubanto. If you want to have a harder life to prove that you can survive without tools that are given, use OpenBSD.
