Distro for real men

Suppose you are a good programmer (as I guess everyone in this board should be). What unix system (lunix distro or *bsd) would you use in order to satisfy your needs and proclaim a real Hacker of the Code?

When you're programming, all you need is your editor, a command line, and maybe some documentation. The first two can easily be the same program; all three are certainly the same program if you're using Emacs.

In any case, when you have those, you should not be distracted by the silly shit floating around the rest of your computer. No visible window system, no flying toaster alarm clocks, no wallpapers depicting an airbrushed Tara Reid sprawled out naked across a floatation device. Just your fingers, and the code, together in orgasmic harmony.
