Visual C++.NET Programming

Any have any online tutorials or resource on creating Visual C++.Net applications? I have a solid understanding of C++, and want to make desktop applications (mainly because they look nicer and are easier to use than DOS windows).

I've been Googling all day and still no help - either the GUI programs are 7 source files long, or they're MFC applications which don't help very much.

I've seen source code of a GUI with a single button that's around 10 lines of code - not 100 like other ones. Anything like that just to help me get started would be great.
