I guess your local library don't throw out old books?
What a shame, I managed to get some very nice texts dealing with laser spectroscopy, networks and security, abstract algebra, encryption, even graphics and I'm not talking about the "for dummies" type of books either.
Good thing about these kind of things is that, eventhough they are quite old, they are still relevent.
