Wordpress is the way to go?

I'm trying to pick what CMS to use, and Joomla is way too fucking complicated to even begin working with.  I don't know if Wordpress will do what I want it to do, I need the end result to look like this on certain pages: alturl.com/sb8v and article pages to look entirely different etc etc...  So there would be different layouts on different sections.

Is it even possible with open source CMS to do these kind of things or do I have to go to plan B and rob a bank and hire staff to do it?  If you wanna help out a /b/rother out with his startup, please reply or shoot me an e-mail.  Thanks-

I was just playing around, I didn't think you guys would be so against it.  Well, I have checked django and it looks very interesting to say the least, but the lack of plugins can be troublesome, since I don't know python, or much programming to say the least.
