Whats an nice lib or whatever for tokenizing strings that respects quoting and perhaps even does like \ escaping and all that jazz (eg like a shell might use to parse a full command string)

that's what i thought. but i'm not sure if that's just for reading lines with editing, rather than the actual parsing
