Firefox memory leak

Name: Anonymous 2009-05-12 5:37

This is why I have to reboot about once a week... leaking memory from Firefox. I go to open a VM, and I'm suddenly having to use some swap.

However, I just upgraded to Ubuntu 9.04, and overall memory usage seems to be down a bit... maybe I can probably go longer between reboots now.

just use a windows build of firefox in wine or use freebsd.
either way, problem solved.
or do both, and be able to use all those plugins that are "windows-only", like adobe flash.
yes, there is a linux version of flash, but it crashes after about 2 seconds (on freebsd it only takes about 1.5 seconds... it crashes at the same place, it just takes longer to get there on slow as fuck linux) so it's not really usable.
