OOP on Linux: Best languages.

Name: Anonymous 2009-04-18 6:29

I've never programmed in Linux before and I suck without an IDE. What is a good IDE and good language to use for OOP on Linux. I've been learning C# recently and wanted to stick with it. Is there a good IDE that uses Mono natively?

I raged at this thread.
OOP IS SO 1990'S.
Go the fuck away from GNU/Linux back to your windows enterprise pile of best-practices dead horse poo.

Monodevelop is easier said than done, I've spend a good hour and a half and haven't been able to get Monodevelop to launch in debian. Thankfully there are plugins for Eclipse.

You should use Visual Studio Express in Windows, it's a lot better than Mono/Eclipse

No shit? That defeats the purpose though of using it on Linux though which is the point of this thread.
