It's incredibly buggy and you have to fuck around with it every time you run it to get it to do anything useful. Open the preferences and change "Default Renderer" to "Classic Renderer" and it should work. If not, close and reopen the terminal window and try again. Once you get it to show actual text, you should be all set, but you have to repeat this voodoo bullshit every time you restart the program.
Basically the only reason anyone would ever use that shitty program is that it's the only full-screen terminal that looks like a physical VT100. The author was going to open source it but I think he died. If Anonymous could write a clone of it for a real OS, without all the fucking bugs, he would be an hero unto thy internets.
