Welcome to Windows, the only modern mainstream OS that doesn't come with basic interpreters like perl or python installed by default (actually, IIRC, FreeBSD doesn't come with perl in the base install but only Taro cares about it).
Ridiculous, isn't it?

Yeah, that's pretty unbelievable. Another thing is that when I actually go my way to fetch and install a Python interpreter, and try to install some non-standard Python module that doesn't have a Windows binary, I get faced with a more serious problem: how incredibly hard it is to quickly get a moderately functional unix-like build environment set up on Windows.
MinGW is a fucking mess (what the fuck's up with all those packages? Isn't most everyone using it for the same exact task?) and Cygwin makes the fatal mistake of thinking that I actually care about anything else except getting the job done and never touching that disgusting Windows box ever again.

It comes with JavaScript and VBScript, both ENTERPRISE-READY implementations.

Q: What's the difference between the 1950's and the 1980's?
A: In the 80's, a man walks into a drugstore and states loudly, "I'd
like some condoms," and then, leaning over the counter, whispers,
"and some cigarettes."
