I want to start learning VB, but i cant find beginner step-by-step tutorials.. and that is the only effective way of me learning coding. Any ideas?

A lot of universities are teaching .NET now
Why would they do that? When I was taught VB back in high school, everyone just spent all their time making shit GUIs with buttons that took up the whole screen and never spent more time on the code than was necessary. Invariably, out of a class of 20, at least 15 couldn't debug their own code.

I still see the problem on my Electrical Engineering course, a bunch of people who learned to program in VB and to this day refuse to do any real design work on their programs (not even a flowchart or pseudocode) because they were used to diving right in and fixing their shit later.

If you want to teach them programming with GUIs why not start them of on python with tkinter? It just as easy and they learn to get their algorithms working before the fucking GUI.
