What shell does /prog/ use?
I've only used bash, but I want to explore my options. So, which shell do you use, and, if you feel so inclined, why?

There is. It was such shit that not even the guy who programmed it wanted it and even wikipedia wants it dead.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pysh
Pysh is a Python shell no longer maintained by the owner, who also does not recommend it. Specifically, it is a user shell inspired by Unix Shells such as Bash.

If you aren't using zsh then you need to kill yourself.

zsh is part of the panoply of the perfect little faggot. Use this:
- OS: OSX or Arch Linux
- shell: zsh
- programming language: Python or Ruby or Javascript
- text editor: Textmate or vim
- version control git

Now post your dotfiles on Github, blog about them with octopress, share your posts on Hacker Jews and you're ready for Kikestarter!

Why the fuck did you post in a 2008 thread?

Is there a reason to switch from bash? 99% of anything possible with a shell is possible with it. If I'm going to switch, might as well just go to perl or that LISP shell I keep hearing about.

zsh has amazing autocompletion, that's the only reason I use it.

LISP shell? Fuck I want to see that. I'm tired of retarded bash constructs like ((())) for arithmetic (what the fuck man) or [[ ]] and [ ] being syntactically different.

I doubt zsh's autocompletion is as amazing as my dubs.
