Both of them suck donkey balls because they're doing it wrong.
Get generic processors fast enough and let these bullshit APIs die already. The advantages of doing so would be enormous.
Next thing you know you have to use an API to do floating point, which is done in a coprocessor in another board with its own memory. Great idea, huh?
