Database program

I am trying to write a page for someone's CD collection, like a database. I want it to have a front page with a text box and a search button. I want whatever is typed in that box to search in a database and pull up that section on a different page, like a ctrl+f type thing. Problem is, I know jack shit about html and javascript, so, if someone would be kind enough to walk me through this I would appreciate it. Thanks..

Like I said, I am not a programmer, so it is only natural that I fail at programming. But, all I did was make a table with a control+f search button and instructions on how to add new queries..
