1. Write an IRC bot in your chosen language using raw sockets, no external IRC libraries.

I don't understand this obsession /prog/ has with writing IRC-related software. So far we've had two ircds, three or four challenges to write an ircd, one challenge to write an IRC client, three IRC bots, and now a challenge to write another bot.
