Vim tip: To enter the INSERT mode, hit the i key on your input device.

Vim question: How do I get current line number in vim? (Would be ctrl+c in nano)

im a vim power user and know the editor very well
heres a good tip for a beginning vim user

use the hjkl keys instead of the arrow keys

if you do this it means whenever you see a vim user using the arrows, you can boast that you dont use the arrows because youre a more skilled vim user.
 dont try this on an emacs user; it may backfire.
