Minsky closing his eyes does not make the room empty. Having seen the room before, he knows it wasn't empty and shouldn't be empty now. Simply closing his eyes doesn't change anything, with or without preconceptions.

The neural net is being wired randomly. But before that, it had been wired in another way. It doesn't matter how it is now, it already has preconceptions.
