Dear Randall,
When I want to read xkcd, I want to read a webcomic of romance,
sarcasm, math, and language. I see that there is no ``humour'' listed there, but, taking a peek at earlier strips, I can safely assume that one of xkcd's goals was to amuse its readers.
Nowadays, most comics seem to deal with the failures of your personal life[1][2][3][4][5]. While I cannot objectively state that it is not interesting, I can say that I, and many of the older readers, check their xkcd with the intent of being amused. This is hardly possible, having the recent love-spam (dare I call it so) in mind.
When you look above the strip itself, one can see links to numerous sub-sections of the web-site. One of them is a blog, or, as you humourously refer to it, a ``blag''. I see no reason not to refrain from revealing the meanders of your life there.
I, too, have lost a someone dear to me recently. But, unlike you, I did not have the urge to tell the entire world how do I feel. So, Randall, please visit a psychologist instead of trying to deal with your problems by making them everyone's problems.
So please, keep things where they belong and don't entirely derail your once-great webcomic into the areas of love and emotion.

Hello everyone.  I've ranted about the decay of xkcd here before, but I'd like to take this time to correct a small failing I often see in such complaints.

While the list romance, sarcasm, math, and language does not contain ``humor'' (and please, if you use the Old spelling, you'll need to remove the comma after ``math'' as well), you may note that xkcd is cited as a webcomic of those things.  What you may not have noted is that comics are by definition meant to be humorous.  It does not need to be mentioned again; moreover, it would be misleading as there is indeed so little humorous content.

Thank you for reading.

-or is a much older spelling than -our.

Me too.

Yes, that was a piss poor attempt at humor while agreeing with someone who spent way to much time on a post (pot kettle etc). Reading 300 of that Questionable Content webcomics somebody here mentioned kinda loosened me up. No, I don't know why I'm reading it either. Why did I (and you) spend time on this crap post anyway?

Because I have absolutely nothing better to do. But I can only speak for myself.

Much like the spelling ``humour'', the Oxford comma is quite British in origin. The ``Oxford'' in the name is from Oxford University, in Oxford, Oxfordshire, in England.
The serial comma may be more current in American English than it is in British English, but its use in British English is still quite correct.

Yah in Lojban you just use 'e' to grammatically describe a set.

Reading the Questionable Content archive is a good exercise. I started reading QC quite some time ago, and I started by going through the entire archive. The earlier strips made me lol, but as things progressed, it became much less webcomic and much more daytime television, to the point where now, nothing is funny. Ever.

As in ``belonging to Juan Perón''.
I suppose it would be more correct to write it as ``Perónal''.
