FUCK YOU NIGGERS

OSX is better than Linux.  Eat shit.

Name: Anonymous 2008-06-01 23:23

He's right, you know.

Name: Anonymous 2008-06-01 23:27

Maybe if OS X had been based on BeOS.

Name: Anonymous 2008-06-01 23:27

No.  OS/2 is the best and you know it.

Name: Anonymous 2008-06-01 23:28

In b4 obligatory Plan 9 faggot.

Name: Anonymous 2008-06-01 23:35

Enjoy your massively overpriced Fisherprice OS capable of dealing with only the handful of things Apple sells at five times their real value. I prefer freedom.

Plan9 is adorable and you know it.

Early versions of MS-DOS (eg. 3.2) were actually quite decent, and far ahead of anything offered by OS/2 until at least 1993.

Name: Anonymous 2008-06-01 23:36

In b4 obligatory GNAA/HURT faggot.

3/10. Going on the (probably mostly accurate) assumption nobody here has actually used either.

Name: Anonymous 2008-06-01 23:40

>>10
i've actually used both.
OS/2 sucks.

Name: Anonymous 2008-06-01 23:58

It's okay, you can come out and say it: Plan 9 is dead sexy (and I know it).

What are you, some kind of lagomorphile?
Since this is /prog/, we should all hail superior programmin' OS, wet dream of app developers; Symbian OS.

You best be trolling.

You should never confuse an OS with its mascot. Do you pretend you're sitting in Ballmer's lap when you use Windows?

Name: Anonymous 2008-06-02 1:25

Symbian uses Windows' C:\ Z:\ faggotry.

TRON is a japanese worldwide computer project.
TRON is a group of newer OSs and specifications.
TROn is anti-UNIX computer project.

Do you know TRON ?

Name: Anonymous 2008-06-02 4:53

OSX? You mean the OS that utilises free UNIX technology and sells it as something else, under the disguise of pretty looks?

Name: Anonymous 2008-06-02 6:07

I will, along with my vastly superior user experience.

OS X is not only about the Aqua Window Manager. It also provides Safari and iTunes.

Name: Anonymous 2008-06-02 6:40

>>20
Tho, of course, Safari uses KHTML.

But I guess iTunes could be viewed as remotely original...

If you're completely ignorant of music-playing software, that is.
Not to mention the fact that it's just shit software. If any other company had produced it it would be labeled malware.

I imagine him jumping up on me from behind every time I get an allow/deny
message.
He whips out his huge throbbing cock and swings it around a few times before he
forces me down and jams it inside of me.  As he leans his greasy, sweaty body
over me I can feel his warm breath in my neck, and I hear him muttering, at
first quietly, but louder and louder as he starts thrusting more rapidly, until
finally he is shouting at the top of his lungs as my body starts twisting and
shaking;
"DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS
DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS
DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS
DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS ... "

ITT win/linfags are really fucking bitter for no apparent reason.

I have run all but dry of understanding for programmers that willfully pick Linux as their platform of choice. I know a few that are still stuck in the rut for various reasons -- none of them desire.

I would have a hard time imagining the satori of someone who was still on Linux. If you don't care enough about your tools to get the best, your burden of proof just got a lot heavier.

So if you haven't switched already, stop procrastinating. Get it over with. If you have any desire working for the rising rank of companies building their business on open source technologies, you don't want to carry a liability like that around on you resume. Being labeled a 2008 Switcher is bad enough.

Apple will continue to trounce everyone else for the preferred expert platform. The stigma of using anything else than Textmate will increase. (Watch the screencasts)

If you're using anything other than emacs or vim you fail as a programmer.

I switched to OS X once I realized that the values of open-source didn't work in the real world. Know any distrobation where all the software is GPL? Don't bother, none of them believe enough in their core values to enforce freedom. They're just a bunch of hypocrites.

Sam, acme, and ed, faggot.

gNewSense. Also, none of the software needs to be GPLd. The only requirement is that all of the software be free.
