ITT: /prog/ tells me how to learn how to write an efficient daemon (ie. an IRCd or webd or some shit like that) with WinSock.

I know how to use sockets (kinda) but I'm not sure how to layout my codez and shit to create a good networking program

Looks like WinSock wasn't exactly "slightly modified BSD sockets". They've added >>10. Which makes portability hard. Not that I care about windows, but it's always nice to have portable code.

glib doesn't provide anything. Maybe forcing everyone to compile under cygwin... Any better ideas?
