I just finished reading `Writing Solid Code' by Steve Maguire.
- It's 15 years old and it shows. I, for example, learned that most desktop computers don't have protected memory.
- It's published by Microsoft Press. It seems that most current Microsoft programmers haven't bothered to read it.
- The author likes that godawful Systems Hungarian notation.
+ It does provide some quite useful tips for writing reliable C code.
+ It has slightly amusing stories about old Microsoft projects.
