F#

So anyway I have begun my foray into F#.  Because I plan to use .net in my next project I think it will be fun to learn F# in addition to C# and use both languges in the project.  To this end I just ordered Expert F#.  Knowing /prog/ is infinitely more expert then me:

what does /prog/ think about .net?
what does /prog/ think about F# (ocaml)?
What type of tasks are better to be performed in F# vs C# (Math type tasks heavy)?

I don't know exactly.  I want to get into fractals and procedurally generated content so I'm guessing a functional language will help a lot with the structure of such a thing.  I expect to use C#/F# together and just pick and choose based on what algorithm I am making.  Just another tool to pick from :/  Since .net seems to offer easy interoperability it seems to me that having access to F# for certain implementations should help.  A lot of the stuff would not be runtime that I would want to implement in F# so I don't think speed will be huge factor.  TBH though I'm just beginning to dive into this new project.
