Gay Programming

Hey guys. I'm gay, but I'm also a programmer. I made the mistake of telling my teacher once and he said "THERE CAN'T BE ANY GAY PROGRAMMERS!!". That really hurt my feelings. So I'm wondering if I should drop this major and go into something more gay like fashion design or electrical engineering, or is there any sort of gay programming I can get into?

In any program of significant size, the problem isn't writing your Bloom filters or splay trees with elegant syntax. It's a problem of communication with other programmers (including library-writers). Haskell's strict typing, rigid structure, documentation system, and excellent developer tools (aka Eclipse) all help you out.
