Either exploit the server or the software itself.
To me it seems its the easiest to get a packet sniffer, figure out what it sends and send massive packets in that server.

You could also program two drivers that sat above and below it on the w32 driver chain and massively multiplied anything sent through them while still passing the real data through.
Its easy, you just have to stock up on your NULL and your DWORD (you know, for the casting n stuff)

You could probably just install a user-mode keyboard hook. Then again, I have no knowledge of how the whatpulse works.
I plan to write a similar program that counts every keystroke I make and generates statistics. Maybe I'll have a dynamically updating wobsite where people can spend all evening looking at graphs.
