hey /prog/
i have been reading a couple programming books recently, i noticed that they are fairly basic.
is there a subset or somesuch of moar advanced books that you read after you read the basic ones? how do you learn to do work on more focused programming tasks rather then just general?
(i have never learn t from books before, just classes. thats why I'm asking)

Which books have you read and what are you interested in?

I read C++ Demystified,
It planted the groundwork into me firmly, but the book feels very limited. I have been looking through a few books i downloaded, but haven't found much new material so far.

There isn't really anything that I'm specifically interested in, i just love to write code. It could be anything from lunix kernels to vidya games really, i don't have any set goals.
