The APL/J/K solutions are concise. Very impressive.

Well, obviously. Every single APL program is a one liner.

Just a question about this site. Are you actually meant to solve this without any sort of help whatsoever, or are you allowed to look up stuff which you aren't familiar with? I'm currently at 3%

Name: Anonymous 2008-02-10 19:56

>>13
You should look up stuff you don't understand, but don't look up the answers.

Name: Anonymous 2008-02-10 19:57

any EXPERT PROGRAMMER would be able to complete it in one sitting, without any references.

I just started this, its interesting

Name: Anonymous 2008-02-11 6:12

I've just started yesterday evening. Up to about 3 percent. It has come to my attention I may be a bit of a brute-force hacker, since I'm creating solutions that need a 2gb file to store stuff in.

post more sites where I can solve problems and feel like I ahcieve something

The problem with that is I feel like I'm cheating, even though I'm not really looking up the answer :(
The only way to solve this without using references is to be some sort of math major/genius.

Just look up general math help then, unrelated to any programatic implementation.
