/prog/s thoughts on mixing mind altering substances with programming. (both legal and otherwise)

Stimulants works if you needs to write shit down and helps with tedious things you really don't want to do like reinventing the wheel. Psychedelics are nice when you're stuck on the conceptual level and you want to consider the many ways you can do things in and what would probably the most ad hoc efficient way, ABSTRACT BULLSHITE basically.
Other than that I've heard opiates are nice but those really aren't my thing. Alcohol is useless as my capabilities for logical thinking diminishes.
