Are computer users too stupid?

Name: Anonymous 2008-02-04 3:28

Do you guys thing that programmers at Microsoft and Apple have made computers too easy to use? I mean, stupid users lead to problems like bot nets and viruses propagating. Our government officials don't even know how the internet works. People that don't know how they work should not be allowed to use them.

By the same logic you might say that people shouldn't use cars because they don't know how they work, but there really isn't any danger in not knowing how a car works as opposed to knowing how the internet works. Am I right?

To get a driver's license, at least in some countries, you must know the basics of how your car works. And you certainly MUST know driving rules.

Same should be with your other cars^W^W^W computers, connected to public networks.

Botnets prove idiots aren't just hurting themselves, but putting others at risk as well.

Your bbcode failure doesn't leave you with the credibility to call other people faggots, or to tell them to GTFO.
