Your worries are over, /prog/

Sup /prog/, remember me? I'm that kid that keeps complaining about how much the IT industry sucks and asking for college advice.

You'll be pleased to know I've finally decided to just grit my teeth and actually put forth the effort to complete a double major with EE, and actually get respect for my knowledge while getting to work in cool stuff like DSP and Embedded Systems (or maybe something else if I anyone would like to recommend something else I should look into).

Surprisingly, all it really means is the courses I'll have to deal with will result in taking 5 courses a semester and maybe some over the summer instead of 4, and that I get to deal with more numerous and difficult technical courses (yay less English and fluff :). I will bother you no further on this subject.

Is this awesome? Y/N

I guess I'll take that for the most part as a Yes, then?

kinda expected this response tho, of course.

? I always thought it was to do something that you're interested in and enjoy that you can also make a living on? Perhaps make some good friends along the way and experience some new things with the alloted new-found independence?

Oh sorry, you must mean [i]partying, having sex with strangers probably carrying STDs, and drinking away 4 years while putting yourself in (for some people) upwards of 50-100k in debt.]/i]. Enjoy being in debt for the rest of your life while I actually make something of myself. I know you enjoy tossing flames at other people while in your parent's basement to feel superior, but we can't all be successful.
