Computer Science professions parallels

From what I've seen, I find it interesting how many tech jobs these days can be shown as parallels to other more physical real-life jobs people may be more familiar with.

ITT we think of parallels for the different fields

For example:

Database Administrator is like a data Janitor
I.T. Department should be like the fire department (its not how many fires you can put out, its how fast you can respond and how well you put it out. If you are constantly putting out fires, then you do not have enough fire fighters.)

Well yea, but there should be a difference between Programmers and Software Engineers. Programmers are mostly just a step above clerical (read: typing and such) workers.

Software Engineers are more like Architects
If you were to make a distinction for developers as well, developers would be more like artists I suppose
