There's a new fad language. Ever since Zed killed Ruby with his mighty drama beam, there's been a gap in the programming continuum. Proggit seems to have carefully studied the options and picked Io as a replacement.
Compared to Ruby, it's even more reflective and dynamic, has even fewer decent libraries and tools, and is still freaking slow. Less sugar than Ruby though, so there's a big plus. All it needs now is a web framework.
