IDEs

Why does /prog/ hate IDEs? What is so bad about having syntax formatting (which is always customizable), file managers, or -most of all- the ability to debug, link, compile, and execute your program with just the click of a button or two?

Give me one good reason why excessive, redundtant TACKATACKATACKATACKA with a weak-ass text editor and having to manually type commands for linking and compiling is superior.

I don't think you can do it. You're all jackasses who would rather look like a UBER 1337 H4X0R than efficiently code a decent program.

When I use an editor, I don't want eight extra KILOBYTES of worthless
help screens
and cursor positioning code!  I just want an EDitor!!
Not a "viitor".  Not a "emacsitor".  Those aren't even WORDS!!!!
ED! ED! ED IS THE STANDARD!!!
