Basic programming

hey, i have an interest in programming for games etc. but i don't  have a clue where to start, what programs i need, or the languages cause i know there are loads. It would be appreciated if you could  help me in anyway.

Actually, it's "but you can't tune a fish". You can check the tunefs man page for yourself if you like. It refers to both tunefs and tuna fish, which is what makes it moderately funny in the first place, and what makes the "tuna fish" corruption of the meme failsockets.
