IP6

ITT: We discuss effects of IP6 on the internet. For example how will they ban us when we have essentially infinite IP addresses.

On the bans, there are already programs like Urchin 5 that implement javascripts, client headers and cookies to establish identity. You can turn of javascripts, but there are ways of restricting access to people using them. These can be circumvented, but then again, so can IP bans. Neither is very hard, but still hard enough to keep the /b/-going masses at some sort of homestasis and uphold the Status Quo of the internets.

Still, changing the network from IPv4 to v6 is like repieceing the boat under you, while at sea, with pieces of wood that do not fit with the old IPv4 pieces, but only with other new IPv6 pieces. Not in the next decade anyhow...
