Java and Eclipse

Name: Anonymous 2007-08-31 15:50 ID:k+LXpE45

Hey /prog/, work has me using Java and I'm trying to open an existing project with Eclipse. NetBeans opens the project fine, but when I load the same project sources into a new project with Eclipse, com.sun.rave.* is missing and I haven't a clue as to what provides it. Halp!

This is actually a very common problem. The simple solution is to read SICP and learn Haskell.

I think NetBeans includes a few jar archives in all of its projects, so in Eclipse you will need to include those jar archives in the build path.

Type "command.com" in Start -> Run.
Then type "edit".
Microsoft Visual Edit 1990 is the premier (and language-independent) IDE for scalable solutions. Since "edit" is the industry standard, learning it now will be valuable if you wish to pursue a career in programming.

Netbeans inferior.
Eclipse superior.

Netbeans is so much better than eclipse it's not even funny.
Even better, IntelliJ.
Even better, not Java.
