im so lonely im thinking of going to a programmers meeting in someone's basement..anybody else ever done anything similar? Maybe a linux users group or something..make any friends?

The problem, as I see it, with these types of meetings is that there are no girls, obviously. Personally I don't want to hang out with a bunch of nerds, even if I'm one of them. More so if we are talking about programmers, fucking arrogant elitist bitches, worst company ever.
A much better alternative would be animu or fantasy events.
