Learning how to program

Hey, I'm sure you get plenty of these threads and hate them to bits, but, here goes anyway.

I want to learn how to program, and end up in something like videogame development eventually, so, how do I get there?

There are so many different languages, and so many tutorials around I don't really know where to start.

Programming skills :.........i think i am too dumb for it.

There was someone in the highschool who was an expert.

He programmed almost everything himself, drivers, firewalls etc. etc.

I mean, i wish i am just as intelligent as him.
