Lisp matrix functions

I'm thinking about using Lisp to script a game/graphical application.

1) Are there any matrix libraries for Lisp available?
2) Would it be faster to call DirectX matrix functions from Lisp than to do matrix multiplications in Lisp itself?
3) Generally I'm a confused man when it comes to interfacing between languages. Are there any articles on programming using Lisp as a scripting language (specifically Lisp->C++)?
