Since `switching' (eh-he) from Common Lisp to Haskell, the only thing I consider a step back is not the lack of macros or the disability to use dynamic typing in the rare cases it beats static typing, but the terrible irregular syntax, which is only made worse with the ability to introduce new infix operators.

(And yeah, I kind of know about Liskell. How does it deal with normal Haskell code?)
