IT'S TOO BAD WIN32 API FAILED

Name: Anonymous 2007-02-04 21:12

This thread fails since the topic is self-evident.

Name: Anonymous 2007-02-05 9:18

This thread fails since anything > WIN32 API. Save for Win16 API.

actually win16 might be better than win32...
is a small pile of shit better than a huge xbox pile of shit?

Name: Anonymous 2007-02-07 0:36

QT > GTK

+1 interesting, let's compare:
Win16:
- Small
- Pile of shit
- Useless

Win32:
- Xbox
- Pile of shit
- Somehow can be got to do something useful

Name: Anonymous 2007-02-07 15:29

>>11
that's what I do, I love Qt, it's even easy for fast-prototyping, I love it :D

wxWidgets is much better than Qt, GTK, and the Windows API. It's the only reasonable option.

Name: Anonymous 2007-02-09 4:15

>>17
wxWidgets is ugly, tho... QT and GTK can be made to look good relatively easily...

Name: Anonymous 2007-02-09 4:26

One word, the forced indentation of code. Thread over.

Name: Anonymous 2007-02-09 4:54

wxWidgets looks ok to me. QT looks good automatically, if you make something with QT that looks bad, you must suck. GTK can be harder to get something good done with, though it's an easy API from a programmers perspective. All three require forced indentation.

wxWidgets has stupid macros to implements the menus and stuff, I dont' like that. Even Gtk can be easily wrapped around a bunch of classes easily.
