Learning C++ GUI Programming

Hey /prog/,

Over the past month or so I've been learning C++ from tutorials around the net. I've learned quite a bit and can do somethings in command line, but I'd like to get into GUI programming as well.

I've been using the Dev-C++ IDE to work and compile and I like like it a lot. I found wxDev-C++ which adds a form designer for wxWidgets to Dev-C++ and I've been trying to learn how to use that but it's lacking in tutorials to learn how to really use it.

I dunno if wxWidgets is the best way to go, but I'd like to keep my code as cross platform as possible(at least windows and linux), so it seems like a good choice to me.

So /prog/, where should I look at to start getting into GUI C++ programming? Should I stick with wxWidgets, or use something else like Qt or GTK+? Is a form designer the way to go, or should I do it by hand?

Thanks for the info!
