Good latex style for a thesis

Right now I'm just using the report documentclass and headings, does anyone have a favorite thesis style in LaTeX?

I care mainly about:
   titlepage
   copyright notice
   page numbering the prefacing crap with roman numerals
   starting at chapter 1
 
All without much hassle, I've done most of it by hand so far.

Most books I read these days are published online.
Book does not necessarily imply paper. It has to be readable in whatever format it is published in.
